Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited in Plymouth is seeking a Renewable Service Engineer to maintain and repair renewable energy systems across social housing properties. A van and fuel card are provided, with a permanent contract and ASAP start.

The role requires a strong technical background, gas qualifications are desirable but not essential, and you will join a team focused on safety, performance, and customer service excellence in a growing market.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence (less than 6 points).
• Experience in social housing and delivering high levels of customer service is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair renewable energy systems (ASHP, GSHP, MVHR, EAHP & Solar).
• Conduct site assessments and audits to evaluate system efficiency and identify improvements.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and provide timely resolutions.
• Provide training and support to clients on operation and maintenance of their systems.

We are recruiting experienced Renewable Service Engineer to provide maintenance, and repair of renewable energy systems, ASHP, GSHP, MVHR, EAHP & Solar systems.
You would be working across multiple social housing properties in Plymouth and surrounding areas. A van and fuel card will be provided. We are ideally looking for fully qualified and experienced renewables specialists, electricians and engineers or plumbers that are keen to upskill and work in this upcoming market.

The Role

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, and repair of renewable energy systems, ASHP, GSHP, MVHR, EAHP & Solar systems.
• This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
• Service, maintain, and repair renewable energy systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct site assessments and audits to evaluate system efficiency and recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime for clients.
• Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of their renewable energy systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions for system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and report on system performance.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
• Valid ACS & other relevant gas qualifications – desirable, but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence (less than 6 points)
• Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential.
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service.
• The ability to work with a diverse customer base.
