Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking an Associate in Structured Finance to join a multi-skilled team with experience in project finance, corporate finance, and M&A. You will support from origination to Financial Close, helping to structure and execute financing for solar, BESS and onshore wind projects.

The role interfaces with development teams and financing institutions, focusing on bankable solutions and issue mitigation to drive Lightsource bp’s ambitious growth targets in the energy transition.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience with lender, investor or adviser in infrastructure and energy finance space, or with an IPP/ developer.
• Advanced corporate finance knowledge and experience of M&A processes.
• Strong understanding of project finance principles.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the transaction lead from origination to Financial Close.
• Prepare investment materials and teasers for committees.
• Assist in negotiations with financing parties and investors.
• Build and amend project financial models.
• Review financial and transaction documentation (Facility Agreements, SPAs).
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage advisers and Q&A.
