Job summary

CCS is seeking an experienced electrician to install and service electrical systems including ventilation, lighting, Solar PV, and heating controls for social housing and private clients. You will work to 18th Edition and MCS standards, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer service.

The role requires a UK driving license, DBS check, and proven installation experience. You will liaise with residents and project managers, manage parts, and ensure timely job completion across multiple

• General competence in electrical trades.

• Familiarity with mobile PDA devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain job time frames and quality standards with safe, high-quality finishes.
• Deliver a high-quality service to clients and residents, respecting all individuals.
• Work strictly to company procedures and MCS standards; adhere to codes of practice and 18th Edition regulations.
• Carry out repairs and minor works for call-backs or remedial tasks.
• Attend breakdowns and respond to urgent calls as needed.
• Install products and materials to manufacturer guidelines and best practice.
• Order parts and manage jobs to ensure fast issue resolution for clients.
• Liaise with residents and CCS clients about ongoing works.
• Ensure PPE is present and used correctly at all times.
• Coordinate with project manager to maintain QMS and quality manuals.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
• Keep appointments and inform tenants/clients of schedules.
• Carry out duties as required by senior management.
• Stay up to date with codes of practice for your discipline.
• Report variations to administration and keep documentation up to date.
• Attend staff briefings and company functions.
• Collaborate with other engineers and staff to meet targets and organise works.
• Produce certificates or job sheets and other required reports.
• Submit weekly timesheets, delivery notes and expenses.
