Job summary

CCS is seeking an experienced Electrical Installer to carry out electrical installations, such as ventilation, lighting, Solar PV systems and heating controls across housing associations and private customers.

You will work to MCS requirements, maintain safety and quality, and liaise with residents and clients. A clean UK driving license and DBS check are required; NVQ 2 in Electrical Systems and 18th Edition are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent in Electrical Systems.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• BPEC qualification or equivalent in installation of Solar PV preferred.
• Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility and working knowledge of Mobile PDA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain job time frame and quality standards with safe, high quality finishes.
• Deliver high quality service to clients and residents; respect all individuals.
• Work in line with company procedures and MCS standards; comply with 18th Edition regs.
• Carry out repairs and minor works for installation call backs or remedial work.
• Attend to breakdowns and urgent calls.
• Install products and materials to highest quality; follow manufacturer guidelines.
• Order parts and manage own jobs for fast client resolution.
• Liaise with residents and CCS clients about ongoing works.
• Ensure PPE is present and correct.
• Liaise with project manager to maintain QMS standards.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and in order.
• Keep appointments; inform CCS tenants/clients of progress.
• Carry out duties from senior management as required.
• Stay up to date with codes of practice for your discipline.
• Report variations and update administration on site changes.
• Attend staff briefings and company functions.
• Collaborate with engineers and staff to reach targets; coordinate mechanical and building works.
• Produce certificates, job sheets and required reports.
• Submit weekly time sheets, delivery notes and expenses.
