Job summary

Correct Contract Services Ltd is seeking an experienced electrician to carry out electrical installations including lighting, Solar PV systems, and heating controls across housing associations and private customers in the Guildford area.

The role requires adherence to MCS standards, 18th Edition regulations, and high-quality workmanship, with duties spanning ordering parts, coordinating with residents, and maintaining safety and PPE on site.

Qualifications

• General competence in the given trade.
• NVQ 2 or equivalent in Electrical Systems.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• BPEC qualification or equivalent in installation of Solar PV preferred.
• Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility and working knowledge of Mobile PDA.

Responsibilities

• Maintains job time frame and quality standards of the company by working efficiently and safely with a high quality finish.
• Delivers a high quality service to the client and their customers, with respect for all individuals.
• Carries out works in line with company procedures and MCS standards.
• Repairs and minor works as required for installations or remedials.
• Responds to breakdowns and urgent calls.
• Installs products and materials to the highest quality and manufacturer guidelines.
• Orders parts and manages own jobs for fast resolutions.
• Liaises with residents and CCS clients about ongoing works.
• Ensures PPE is present and correct.
• Keeps project manager informed to maintain QMS standards.
• Ensures equipment is calibrated and in good order.
• Keeps appointments and tenants/clients informed.
• Fulfils duties as required by senior staff.
• Keeps up to date with codes of practice relevant to discipline.
• Reports variations and updates administration on site.
• Attends staff briefings and company functions.
• Contributes to team effort and targets.
