Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking a Nurse Team Leader for Ward 6B in Renal Medicine at Lister Hospital, Stevenage. This Band 6, full-time post (37.5 hours) includes days and nights and offers development in renal replacement therapy.

You will lead a 25-bed ward, supervise the nursing team, and work with the Ward Manager to maintain high standards of care, training, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration and leadership experience.
• Experience in renal medicine and managing a ward.
• Experience leading teams and teaching staff.
• Ability to manage rosters and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Ward 6B with 25 beds and oversee direct patient care.
• Promote high standards of professional practice and care delivery.
• Develop competencies, protocols and care pathways within the department.
• Manage the peritoneal dialysis information service over weekends and out of hours.
