Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Registered Nurse for the Renal Intervention and Treatment Area (RITA) in Stevenage. The post is full time (37.5 hours) with permanent contract and NHS AfC Band 5 salary.

The role involves delivering high-quality renal outpatient care within a dedicated team, adhering to NMC codes, and participating in on-call and shift rotations. Flexible working options are available where possible.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on NMC register (Part 1/2/12).
• Commitment to lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
• Evidence of updating personal professional portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care from admission to discharge with patient/family involvement.
• Maintain high standards of nursing care aligned with NMC code and trust policies.
• Collaborate with MDT to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Participate in day/evening/night/shifts and public holidays according to service needs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for out-of-hours support.
• Assist in procedures such as renal biopsy, tunneled line insertion, and PD catheter insertion.
• Undertake iron clinics and non-oncology chemo clinics.
• Manage vascular access care including cannulation and venepuncture.
