Job summary

Registered Nursing Associate for Renal Home Therapies at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading. This Band 4 role delivers hands-on renal care and trains patients in Peritoneal dialysis. The position covers RBH-based and community settings, with core hours Monday to Friday and occasional bank holidays.

You will train patients for PD/APD, travel to patient sites, and work with the renal team to support home therapy delivery and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Nursing qualification required as Registered Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner.
• Driver with access to a car.
• Prior medical/renal nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Peritoneal dialysis (PD) and teach patients to undertake PD/APD.
• Home visits to patients.
• Venepuncture / cannulation.
• Observations / ECGs.
• Infection control practices.
• Stock control and support for service delivery.
• Assist with renal procedures.
• Wound care.
