Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse for the St Albans Haemodialysis Unit. You will be responsible for the care of patients undergoing dialysis, assessing needs and developing plans of care, in-centre or satellite units, with supervision from senior staff.

You will be involved in delegation, on-call duties, safe decisions, and accurate recording of observations, while supporting juniors and students.

Qualifications

• Provide high standard of nursing care under supervision and with patient-centred approach.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for dialysis patients using established policies.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing dialysis in-centre or satellite units.
• Delegate tasks to qualified staff and support workers when appropriate.
• Participate in the haemodialysis on-call rota and adapt to service needs.
• Record clinical observations accurately and communicate changes to seniors.
