Job summary

Glenfield Invicta in Maidstone is seeking a Workshop Machinist to join our workshop team. The role focuses on manufacturing precision components using both CNC and manual machinery, reading technical drawings, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The successful candidate will have CNC and manual machining experience, ability to interpret drawings, and a strong commitment to safety and high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining, including setup, tooling, offsets and operation.
• Experience operating manual machining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture components using CNC and manual equipment.
• Set up CNC machines, select tooling and run programmes.
• Produce components to drawings and specifications.
• Complete machining operations within lead times.
• Carrying out quality inspections on finished products.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Support stock-taking activities when required.
• Follow company procedures and health & safety standards.
