Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Visual Designer for a remote, contract role. You will write, review, and validate prompt-based questions to train AI in visual design and shape how AI handles multi-modal design workflows in graphic design and UI work.

This part-time position runs 10–20 hours per week with flexible hours. You will collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and model outputs, and bring 1+ years of graphic or UI design experience along with a Bachelor's degree in design

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in graphic or UI design.
Bachelor's degree in design or a related field.
Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia.
Strong background in creating high-quality visual designs with unique aesthetics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Exposure to LLMs and GenAI prompting.

Responsibilities

Write, review, and validate prompt-based questions to train AI in visual design.
Shape how AI understands and simulates multi-modal design workflows in graphic design and UI work.
Ensure each prompt and response reflects real-world design processes.
Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance training data quality and model outputs.
