Job summary

Obsidian is seeking a Visual Designer to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions that train AI. Bring strong visual design experience in websites, apps, and brand assets to shape how AI understands design workflows.

This role focuses on graphic or UI design, with a 10-20 hour weekly workload, and starts in early to mid-August. A portfolio demonstrating high-quality visuals and familiarity with prompting LLMS is essential.

Qualifications

• Have over 1+ years of experience in graphic or UI design.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Are currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK or Australia.
• Have a strong background in creating high-quality visual designs (websites/apps, brand/marketing assets) with unique aesthetics.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong attention to details
• Exposure working with LLMs and GenAI prompting.

We are looking for a Visual Designer to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.

Your expertise in visual design, either graphic design or UI work, will ensure each prompt and response reflects real-world design processes. You’ll help shape how AI understands and simulates multi-modal design workflows across these two types of visual design. We are not looking for UX designers - please only apply if you have excellent visual design experience, skills, and a portfolio to share.

Role Highlights

• Flexible workload: 10-20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.

Role Start Date

• This role will begin in early to mid-August with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Interview Process

• You will take an AI interview where you will be asked questions about your background in creative workflows, user experience planning, and systemic design thinking.

• You will share your screen and walk through a design that best showcases your design fundamentals and aesthetic.

• Following the interview you will be asked to share your portfolio.

• Applicants will be selected based on their performance in the AI interview and on the quality of their portfolio.
