Job summary

Pairs is hiring a Venture Scout to source founders from their own network, assess which companies deserve diligence, and bring the strongest to Pairs. You will write targeted messages to founders and investors, convert replies into calls, and help expand our direct-investor network without fundraising funds.

You will work directly with the co-founders and our investor team in a flat company structure, starting with live mandates and rapid exposure to deal flow and diligence processes.

Qualifications

• Active network of founders to bring to the table.
• Ability to write concise, personalized outreach messages.
• Maintain pace without sacrificing quality; follow a process.
• Knowledge of startup funding stages: round structure, cheque size, SAFE vs priced rounds.
• Discretion; do not reveal investor or company names in application.
• Daily use of AI tools with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing companies raising Series A or later and bringing them to Pairs.
• Lead first conversations and turn replies into calls.
• Conduct investor research: who is investing now, at what stage, cheque size.
• Grow and manage your network of founders and investors.
