Job summary

Realityjam is seeking a Junior Game Artist apprentice to contribute to visual development for the MMO 5th Dimension. This fully remote, paid apprenticeship combines training with hands-on production experience across character, environment art and UI assets.

You will work with Unity and industry tools to build a strong art portfolio and progress toward a Unity Associate Certification. The role provides a clear apprenticeship pathway and a route to a full-time position within Realityjam.

Qualifications

• Experience creating game-ready art assets for Unity.
• Strong Blender and another 3D tool (Maya/3ds Max) proficiency.
• Portfolio of commercial-quality 3D/2D game art.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D and 3D game-ready assets for characters, environments, props, and UI elements.
• Optimize assets for real-time performance (polygon budgets, texture atlasing, LOD).
• Work within established art style guidelines to ensure visual consistency.
• Rig, skin, and animate characters and 3D assets.
• Collaborate with technical artists and programmers to integrate assets into the Unity pipeline.
• Contribute to environment dressing, level composition, and world-building tasks.
• Participate in art reviews and iterate to hit quality targets.
