Loop Recruitment is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join a global consumer technology marketplace used by millions of customers. This UK-remote role offers a chance to work on a modern data platform powering analytics and ML initiatives.

You will help shape the next generation of our data platform, build self-service capabilities, improve developer experience, and treat data as a product. This is a hands-on, senior role owning key platform areas and driving engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Python or Scala in a data platform context.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Airflow and dbt in production.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure considered).

Responsibilities

• Own key areas of the data platform and drive technical direction.
• Build self-service capabilities and improve developer experience.
• Treat data as a product and govern platform data for scale.
• Architect and evolve core platform services, improve observability and governance.
• Drive automation and establish engineering best practices across the team.
