Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive operational excellence across UK and France manufacturing sites. You will apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, coach teams, and partner with site leaders to deliver measurable cost reductions and quality gains.

Reporting to the EMEA Operations Director, you will develop dashboards, track KPIs, and lead kaizen events while promoting safety and standard work. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance requirements must be satisfied.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in process improvement, operations, or related roles.
• Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred).
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation abilities.
• Prefer working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc. as well as PowerBI for actionable insights
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across UK and France sites.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to eliminate waste and improve flow.
• Collaborate with Plant Managers and Engineers to remove bottlenecks.
• Plan kaizen events, value stream mapping, and Gemba walks.
• Translate improvements into financial benefits and track results.
• Analyse data and process metrics to identify trends.
• Develop visual management systems and dashboards.
• Coach frontline teams on Lean tools.
• Set annual improvement goals and monitor KPIs.
• Promote a culture of safety and housekeeping.
