Job summary

Nurseplus UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to own and evolve the data environment, pipelines and architecture. You will collaborate with the Lead Technology Architect and technology team to design scalable data solutions, automate processes and ensure data reliability, security and availability for reporting, analytics and digital products.

The role emphasizes cloud platforms, SQL proficiency, ETL/ELT pipelines, API integrations and BI-driven data modeling in a remote-first

Qualifications

5+ years of Data Engineering or related field.
Strong experience with modern cloud data platforms.
Advanced SQL and data modelling skills.
Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and API integrations.
Familiarity with BI tools and semantic models.
Knowledge of data security, authentication and encryption.

Responsibilities

Own the cloud data environment and improve performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
Design scalable data storage structures and cloud solutions.
Build automated ETL/ELT pipelines and integrate systems.
Develop data models and semantic layers for reporting and analytics.
Monitor and optimise database performance and queries.
Establish data governance, security, backup and disaster recovery processes.
Develop data marts and data services for core apps and mobile solutions.
Create clear technical documentation and data dictionaries.
