Job summary

Portfolio Credit Control is partnering with a Chartered Accountancy to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 12-month FTC. You will manage a portfolio of client payrolls, ensuring accurate processing, on-time delivery, and compliance with current UK legislation, while acting as a trusted contact for clients.

Experience with PayCircle and IRIS Payroll Professional is essential as the team implements a new Paycircle system.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and end-to-end payroll processing.
• Ability to handle complex payroll calculations and statutory payments.
• Experience liaising with HMRC and processing BACS payments.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish.
• Processing payrolls accurately and within deadlines.
• Handling BACS payments and liaising with HMRC on PAYE matters.
• Providing expert guidance on payroll legislation and employment-related issues.
• Processing complex payroll calculations including SMP, SPP, ShPP, holiday pay, termination payments and Benefits in Kind.
• Supporting colleagues across the wider payroll team during busy periods.
• Assisting with payroll system implementation and process improvements.
• Building strong client relationships through proactive communication.
