Job summary

Artis Recruitment seeks an experienced accountant to join a client team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The candidate will support management accounting, month end, and statutory financial duties, including VAT and audit prep.

The role involves hands-on transactional tasks and balance sheet work, with team colleagues mostly overseas; remote work is possible, but UK-based presence is required and a 7.45am start is expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with SME experience preferred.
• Must be able to start 7.45am UK time.
• Strong Excel skills including pivots, lookups and formulas.

Responsibilities

• Support management accounting and month end processes.
• Handle balance sheet work, VAT and statutory accounts.
• Carry out journal prep and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with audit preparation and other transactional tasks.
