Job summary

ThriveCart is seeking a full-ownership software engineer to build a new TypeScript-based system that will replace the legacy PHP platform, while maintaining the PHP system during the transition. You will own features end-to-end, make technical decisions, and be accountable for what you ship.

You will use AI coding tools daily to accelerate delivery, ensure code quality, and contribute to incident response, runbooks, and documentation as ThriveCart scales its global SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• Experience building or migrating full-stack platforms
• Familiarity with PHP Laravel and TypeScript ecosystems
• Ability to work across both legacy and new systems and own features end-to-end
• Proactive in using AI coding tools to accelerate delivery

Responsibilities

• Own features from requirement to production and monitor them
• Make technical decisions with clear trade-offs and document them
• Maintain and migrate PHP system while building the new TypeScript system
• Write unit and integration tests; ensure code quality
• Contribute to incident response, runbooks, and post-mortems
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers
• Mentor L1-L2 engineers in AI tooling and software practices
