Job summary

Woodfinishes is seeking a Trainee Technical Sales Manager to cover Bristol and South Wales, working from home with a regional remit. You will learn by doing, building product knowledge and sales skills while identifying and winning new business in a brand-new territory.

The role provides a clear path to develop technical sales expertise, with training, support from a small team, and a generous commission scheme as you grow your territory.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in paints and coatings.
• Willingness to learn sales and negotiate.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn our products, customers and the technical applications of our coatings.
• Identify and approach potential new customers.
• Make calls and arrange face-to-face meetings.
• Develop relationships with new contacts and understand customer requirements.
• Prepare quotations and learn pricing and margins.
• Support growth of customer accounts and keep up to date with sector developments.
