Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Programme Assurance Lead to own first line assurance within a major UK programme. The role involves coordinating second/third line activities and working with strategic colleagues to align assurance across plans.

You will apply modelling assurance techniques, follow Green Book guidance, and report findings to senior stakeholders. The position is remote across the UK with occasional travel to the Midlands head office and other UK locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading assurance management, programme management, audit and risk management.
• Technical experience of working on assurance for modelling.
• Strong understanding of programme and project delivery frameworks.
• Practical experience applying or assuring against Green Book guidance.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in leading and managing large-scale business assurance activities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own first line assurance activity within the programme and coordinate second/third line activities.
• Coordinate assurance across plans with broader Strategic colleagues in the directorate.
• Travel to Midlands head office and other UK locations as needed.
• Support change management, governance, and reporting activities.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.
