Job summary

Frontier Resourcing are working with a specialist consultancy to appoint a Principal Consultant in Programmable Elements Assurance to lead senior technical work across aerospace, defence and safety-critical programmes.

You will provide independent assurance of safety-critical software and programmable hardware, review evidence, identify risks, and mentor teams while supporting certification and regulatory engagement. Flexible remote UK-based role with travel to clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software, programmable hardware or systems assurance in aerospace/defence.
• Knowledge of high-integrity standards (DO-178C/DO-12C etc.).
• Experience with safety frameworks ARP4754A/ARP4761.
• Experience reviewing requirements, architecture, design, verification and certification evidence.
• Strong FHA, PSSA, SSA, FMEA and FTA knowledge.
• Ability to identify evidence gaps and provide proportionate recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across complex aerospace and safety-critical programmes.
• Mentor teams and lead major work packages.
• Review safety evidence and develop assurance positions.
• Engage with regulators, Design Organisations and suppliers.
• Produce and defend technical reports and findings.
