Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years as a Data Analyst, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), R and visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory and logistics.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent international e-commerce company, is actively seeking a skilled and analytical Remote Supply Chain Data Analyst to join their growing global team. This fully remote position is vital for transforming raw supply chain data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, proficiency in relevant tools and software, and a deep understanding of supply chain processes. You will work collaboratively with remote teams worldwide, contributing to the optimization of inventory management, logistics, and overall supply chain performance. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa, contributing to a critical function for our client's operations, supporting the broader regions including Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various supply chain sources.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of performance issues.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key supply chain metrics and performance indicators.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve inventory management, logistics, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver relevant analysis.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead times, inventory turnover, and delivery accuracy.
• Utilize statistical methods and data modeling techniques to forecast demand and identify potential risks.
• Support the implementation of new data analytics tools and methodologies.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all supply chain reporting.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with a focus on Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
