Job summary

Groups is a recovery-focused organization offering remote, part-time counseling with evening sessions. The counselor will lead structured group therapy, support member progress, and collaborate with care teams to ensure quality care for individuals in recovery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Virginia licensure, with a minimum two years of group leadership in a substance use setting; comfort with EMR, Telehealth, and Google tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; licensure in Virginia or reciprocity in other states is needed.
• Minimum two years’ experience leading groups in a SUD setting.
• Comfort with technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products.

Responsibilities

• Lead 6 one-hour group therapy sessions weekly using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using approved modalities within our clinical framework.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
