Job summary

Pearson in the United Kingdom is seeking a Standards Verifier to uphold the integrity of vocational qualifications. You will provide subject-specific support to centres, conduct sampling and verification activities, and deliver constructive feedback across verification processes.

This role requires up-to-date qualification specifications, mandatory training, and the ability to travel for centre visits. We offer remote and in-person contracts to suit different working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong background in quality assurance and assessment practices.
• Minimum of two full academic years teaching in the relevant subject area within the last 8 years.
• Experience in verifying regulated qualifications.
• Excellent communication and ability to coordinate training and standardisation activities.
• Evidence of leadership or support roles in quality assurance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with qualification specifications and national standards.
• Provide expert advice and guidance for verification requirements.
• Attend mandatory training and standardisation activities.
• Conduct centre visits for qualifications requiring verification.
• Follow Pearson quality assurance processes and sampling strategies.
• Review learner work and internal verification records for accuracy.
• Produce comprehensive sampling reports and outline corrective actions.
• Maintain regular communication with your Pearson supervisor and internal teams.
