Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 full academic years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area within the last 8 years.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Pearson assessment, quality and processes and national standards within the last 5 years.
• Experience in verifying regulated qualifications and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with qualification specifications and national standards.
• Provide expert advice and guidance tailored to your subject area and verification requirements.
• Attend and complete mandatory training and standardisation activities in required timelines.
• Conduct centre visits for qualifications involving visiting verification, following Assessment team guidance.
• Adhere to Pearson's quality assurance processes and sampling strategies.
• Review learner work and internal verification records for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure assessment decisions are valid and aligned with standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to centres during sampling.
• Produce comprehensive sampling reports for each centre visited.
• Communicate standards non-compliance and corrective actions clearly.
• Assist centres in addressing issues and implementing improvements.
• Identify and recommend learner work or materials for future training.
• Maintain regular communication with your Pearson supervisor and internal teams.
