Job summary

SoSafe is seeking a Staff Engineer for IT Automation & AI transformation to shape our automation platform across the organization. This remote role focuses on building a scalable toolchain that blends traditional automation with AI-native workflows, enabling citizen developers while maintaining security and reliability.

You will mentor the IT engineering team, drive IT operations towards an as-code paradigm, and partner with IT, Security, and Product teams to accelerate adoption of our

Qualifications

• Experience operating at Staff Engineer level in a cloud-native SaaS environment.
• Hands-on coding background in a platform or SRE team.
• Proven AI-native adoption with production-grade workflows or agents.
• Technical mastery of infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and workflow orchestration.
• Ability to design hybrid architectures balancing speed and cost.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build and iterate a toolchain fusing automation tools with spec-driven design and agentic working.
• Advocate, mentor and enable early adopter teams to use our platforms and provide feedback.
• Build self-sustaining cultural practices across the organisation and scale the platform.
• Drive IT operations evolution toward an as-code infrastructure model.
• Contribute to the IT/Sec Operating System as we move to build-not-buy teams.
• Mentor and elevate the IT engineering teams and collaborate across departments.
