Job summary

Proactive Appointments is seeking a Software Asset & Licensing Manager for a fully remote role in the UK charity sector. The role owns the software estate, licensing strategy and lifecycle management to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Candidates should have strong SAM, software licensing and IT service management experience, with vendor management skills and ITIL exposure. Remote working is supported with a salary up to £42,000.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and Software Licensing
• Experience in IT Asset Management or IT Service Management
• Vendor management and negotiation skills
• Experience identifying cost-saving and optimisation opportunities
• Understanding of software compliance, vulnerabilities and end-of-life management
• Stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
• Experience working within an ITIL environment

Responsibilities

• Manage the full software lifecycle from licensing and procurement through renewal and retirement
• Develop and manage the software licensing strategy
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs through licence optimisation and software rationalisation
• Manage software vendors, contracts and renewals
• Maintain the organisation's Definitive Software Library
• Ensure software remains secure, supported and patched
• Manage end-of-life software and associated risks
• Improve processes and automation around SAM and compliance
• Collaborate with Technology, Security, Procurement and wider business stakeholders
