Job summary

Sainsbury's Tech – Service Operations – Asset Management is seeking a SAM Analyst (C4) to drive software license control, data accuracy and cost optimisation across the business. You will partner with Procurement, Software Deployment, Packaging, Engineering and other teams to ensure licences are utilised and legally compliant.

The role requires strong data analysis, stakeholder management and ITIL familiarity.

Qualifications

• Analyse large data sets and apply repeatable methods to process data for analysis.
• Build strong business partnerships with procurement, deployment, packaging, engineering and other stakeholders.
• Keep up-to-date with IT licensing changes and vendor/publisher licensing.
• Demonstrate drive and curiosity to find better ways to do things.
• Interpret contractual text and provide actionable insights to protect the business.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate across teams to deliver SAM outcomes.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and applying them to asset management.

Responsibilities

• Respond to licensing queries from colleagues across Sainsbury’s group.
• Create and maintain licence entitlement records and data sets.
• Provide SAM analyses to senior stakeholders for data-driven decisions.
• Create Effective License Positions for assigned publishers.
• Be SME on assigned publishers and advise on programmes of work.
• Collaborate with Procurement, SAM tools and engineering to address issues.
