Job summary

Computer Futures is seeking a hands-on Software Architect to shape and evolve a mission-critical Warehouse Control System (WCS) used in highly automated logistics environments. You will set architectural direction, make critical design decisions, and stay close to code as the platform modernises from Python/Django to a .NET/Blazor ecosystem.

You will lead architecture, integration, and deployment decisions across PLCs, WMS/ERP, robotics, and real-time control systems while mentoring engineers

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Architect or senior/lead engineer moving into architecture.
• Strong expertise in C# / .NET and modern application development practices.
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture across application, data, messaging, and deployment layers.
• Lead the design of complex features and subsystems with clear design artefacts and ADRs.
• Own and define integration patterns between the WCS and external systems (PLCs, WMS, ERP, robotics).
• Provide technical leadership in client workshops, design reviews, FAT/SAT, and commissioning phases.
• Drive governance, standards, and best practices for performance, observability, and resilience.
