Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Senior Transport Compliance & Safety Manager for a major national logistics provider. This leadership role oversees safety programs and regulatory compliance across South Africa.

You will develop safety policies, conduct audits, lead driver training, investigate incidents, and liaise with regulators. The position is fully remote with a strong emphasis on measurable safety improvements and high fleet standards.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 8 years in transport safety or compliance with road transport focus.
• In-depth knowledge of South African transport laws and regulations.
• Experience with safety management systems (e.g., ISO 39001).
• Strong risk assessment, incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication and remote management skills.
• Proficiency in safety management software and data analysis tools.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Safety Management, Logistics, Law, or related.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and manage a robust national transport safety and compliance strategy.
• Ensure compliance with South African road traffic regulations and relevant standards.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments across fleet operations.
• Oversee driver training programs focused on safety and compliance.
• Investigate transport incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation, policies and procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, associations, and insurers on safety matters.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote a strong safety culture among drivers and staff.
• Stay updated on legislation changes and industry best practices.
