Job summary

ScaleOps Search Ltd. is seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer to build robust Python applications, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations within a major financial-services programme. You will join a team delivering production-grade, scalable systems with strong emphasis on automated testing and CI/CD.

You will work predominantly remotely with occasional visits to Canary Wharf, contributing to architecture decisions and mentoring other developers in a regulated, enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ commercial Python development experience.
• Strong back-end software engineering experience.
• REST API and enterprise integration development.
• Object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Git, automated testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• ServiceNow integrations or ITSM platforms.
• Banking, financial services or another regulated industry.
• Event-driven architecture and workflow automation.
• AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Building maintainable Python applications, services and REST APIs.
