Job summary

Spotify is seeking a skilled ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy models that optimize messaging across push, email, and in-app channels. You will run A/B tests in a multi-objective environment, balance conversions with engagement and retention, and contribute to long-term RL strategies.

You will own the full ML lifecycle, collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to measure success. The role is based in London/Stockholm with flexible, hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying ML models in production at scale.
• Ability to translate business problems into ML solutions and discuss trade-offs with cross-functional partners.
• Experience with complex optimization problems such as ranking or multi-objective decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship ML models that optimize messaging across push, email, and in-app channels.
• Plan and run A/B experiments in a multi-objective environment balancing conversion, engagement, retention, and reachability.
• Contribute to reinforcement learning systems that optimize long-term user outcomes.
• Partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define success metrics and measurements.
• Own the full ML lifecycle from data and modeling to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Integrate ML models with upstream systems including domain signals and opportunity generation frameworks.
• Help shape the future of AI-assisted development within the team and explore tooling for faster experimentation and delivery.
