Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Senior Estimator to join a remote team delivering regional construction bids across the UK and beyond. You will develop detailed cost estimates from tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, and contribute to competitive pricing strategies.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of estimating experience, strong knowledge of materials and labor costs, and proficiency with PlanSwift, CostX and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Proficiency in estimating software (PlanSwift, CostX) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects from tender documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather cost information and validate estimates.
• Develop bid proposals, including pricing strategies and risk assessments.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of costs, suppliers, and market trends.
