Job summary

EVEREC is seeking a Senior Electromechanical Engineer for High-Power Systems. The role is predominantly remote with Belfast travel 2–3 times per month, focusing on designing and integrating high-power DC/AC cabinets, switchgear and associated electromechanical systems.

You will develop 3D CAD designs, packaging solutions, and detailed documentation while collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and controls teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-power DC/AC cabinet design for electromechanical systems.
• Strong 3D CAD capability with detailed designs suitable for manufacture.
• Knowledge of HV electrical systems, isolation, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to package high-power components into integrated cabinets.
• Background in automotive, marine, aerospace, energy, or electrification projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power DC/AC cabinets and assemblies.
• Lead electromechanical integration of switchgear and power electronics.
• Produce 3D CAD layouts for cabinets, enclosures, and systems.
• Develop packaging solutions considering electrical, mechanical and thermal needs.
• Translate schematics into practical physical designs with team input.
• Ensure HV clearances, creepage, isolation and serviceability.
• Create drawings, BOMs, specs and documentation; support reviews.
