Morena is seeking a Head of Applied AI Engineering to own a rapidly growing production AI platform. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who has built and operated production AI systems and can define architecture, engineering standards, evaluation strategy, and technical direction while staying close to the code.

You will scale agentic systems across workflows, memory, tool use, and state changes, owning platform primitives, safety controls, and reliability as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Production AI agent systems experience.
• Ability to design agent architecture, evaluation strategies and technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI platform architecture to support production agents.
• Lead delivery of robust production AI systems and reusable platform primitives.
• Define evaluation, safety, and reliability strategies for deployed AI systems.
