Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a globally distributed team in a fully remote role focused on energy data. You will build ML models for forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance, while mining complex datasets from smart meters, SCADA, and market data to drive strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience, strong Python or R skills, SQL/NoSQL proficiency, and expertise in data visualization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as CS, stats, math or physics.
• Minimum 6 years of professional Data Scientist experience with energy-related data.
• Proficiency in Python or R and key libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas).
• Strong SQL and NoSQL experience.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Solid background in statistical modeling and ML algorithms.

Responsabilités

• Develop, train, and deploy ML models for energy forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance.
• Analyze large energy datasets (smart meters, SCADA, market data) to extract actionable insights.
• Design ETL data pipelines and ensure data quality and security.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into production systems.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices.
