Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their forward-thinking fintech team in a fully remote role. You will build and deploy ML models for fraud detection, credit scoring, and personalized financial services, leveraging large datasets to drive product development and strategy.

The ideal candidate has a PhD or MSc, 5+ years in data science, strong Python or R skills, SQL, and experience with Spark/Hadoop. Excellent remote communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in CS, statistics, math or related field.
• 5+ years of data science experience focused on ML.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Spark/Hadoop.
• Strong statistical modeling, experimental design, and evaluation.
• Experience translating business problems into data solutions.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
