Job summary

Numerator is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize high-volume data pipelines using Python, Databricks on Azure, and modern DevOps practices. The role emphasizes AI/ML awareness and big data processing with Spark/PySpark.

You will collaborate with analysts and data teams to meet sprint goals while improving test automation and delivery quality. Remote work from India is supported; prior experience in enterprise data environments and a strong DevOps background will help

Qualifications

7–10 years of data engineering experience.
Strong Python skills.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark and Databricks.
DevOps pipeline experience, preferably Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Knowledge of AI/ML techniques.

Responsibilities

Adhere to coding standards and Numerator tech standards.
Build and maintain automated test suites within Azure DevOps.
Update automation test suites as required.
Perform manual, load, and exploratory testing when needed.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Senior Data Developers to hit sprint goals.
Assist in estimation of sprint stories and tasks.
Proactively contribute to reliable product delivery.
