Job summary

Pearson Carter is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a remote role in the United Kingdom. You will design, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines, data integration solutions, and cloud-based data platforms supporting analytics and reporting, within an Agile team.

You will own ETL/ELT pipelines, work with Finance and Technology teams, and support ERP/finance integrations, including NetSuite, while championing data governance and security to enable accurate decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing data pipelines and data warehouse/lake solutions.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tooling and orchestrators (SSIS, Airflow).
• Experience with SQL Server stack (SSRS/SSMS/SSAS).
• Solid understanding of BI modelling, Power BI, DAX.
• Programming experience with Python and PowerShell.
• Cloud experience with AWS and Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Support finance transformation initiatives and contribute to the data function's growth.
• Own and maintain data engineering environment, pipelines, integrations, and reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with Finance, Analytics and Technology teams and assist ERP/finance integrations (e.g., NetSuite).
