Push Security Ltd is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help design, build, and run the large-scale, high-performance systems behind our product.

This role is remote-first, UK-based candidates only, focusing on Python, AWS serverless, and scalable infrastructure. You will own features end to end and work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable software in a fast-growing cybersecurity startup.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python with a track record of scaling large production systems.
• Hands-on AWS serverless architecture and IaC (AWS CDK).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Remote-first, self-directed work style.
• Ownership of features end to end from concept to production.
• User-focused design and impact on user experience.
• Startup or high-growth experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Ship quickly with solid testing and documentation.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to raise the bar for the team.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product leaders to deliver reliable features.
