Job summary

Parexel International is seeking a Senior Associate Biomarker Data Scientist to join a sponsor-facing biomarker analytics program. The role is remote-based, with eligibility to work in UK and other specified EMEA countries.

The position focuses on building and maintaining biomarker analytics pipelines, developing R packages, and collaborating with scientists to ensure timely delivery of analyses. Strong programming in R, Shiny, and SQL is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in open-source programming such as R, R Shiny, and bash.
• Experience using version control tools (git).
• Experience using Claude Code and other AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline and R package development: Runs, monitors, and maintain existing analysis pipelines, internal R packages and report templates.
• Data Operations and QC: Manage end-to-end data flow, organize on internal servers with proper folder structure, and ensure reproducibility.
• Open Source Code Development: Claude Code sharing and optimization: maintain a reusable library of prompts/snippets/skills and standards.
