Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop technical bids for the industrial plastics and chemical storage sector. The role involves creating competitive commercial bids for utility and chemical processing clients and offering a clear path to progression.

You will own the bid process, liaise with suppliers, and prepare detailed quotations, with a focus on pricing, terms and technical compliance. A technical degree and industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience selling technical products into industrial markets.
• Background in chemical, engineering or environmental sectors would be valuable.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the bid end-to-end, balancing technical, pricing and commercial factors.
• Write and manage effective proposals.
• Support bid-writing with document compliance.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Create technical quotations aligned to customer needs.
• Collaborate with teams across the supply chain to source parts and price accordingly.
