Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a skilled Retail/Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to maintain, diagnose, repair, and install commercial refrigeration systems across UK retail locations. The role involves on-site service, compliance with F-Gas regulations, and regular documentation updates.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in commercial refrigeration, F-Gas Category 1, CO2 systems knowledge, and a valid UK driving licence, with on-call responsibilities and travel across listed UK

Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1 certification required.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Knowledge of CO2 refrigeration systems (transcritical/subcritical).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive callouts, and emergency breakdown repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment including remote packs and condensing units.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration systems.
• Perform installation and commissioning of new refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation via digital job management systems.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site, liaising with clients, store managers, and head office contacts to ensure clear communication and timely updates.
• Participate in an on-call rota to support emergency breakdowns outside of standard working hours.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
