Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Manchester is seeking Assistant Project Managers to help deliver highways and local transport projects across their full lifecycle. You will work with experienced project managers and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate delivery and engage stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BEng / Meng / Bsc or MSc in civil engineering (or equivalent).
• Working towards CEng or IEng with ICE preferred.
• Good understanding of Eurocodes and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets.
• Preparation of reports and works packages.
• Able to work to timescales and budgets.
• Assist with site supervision of highway improvement schemes.
• Excellent English communication.
• Experience of CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of highways and local transport projects in line with scope, programme, budget and quality objectives.
• Maintain project controls, including schedules, action trackers, risk registers, cost data and reporting packs.
• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams and support timely delivery of outputs.
• Prepare progress updates, meeting records, change documentation and other client-facing materials.
• Monitor delivery performance and support corrective actions.
• Develop effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
