Job summary

Randstad CPE London is seeking an experienced M&E Design Engineer for a remote-first role in the rail sector. You will produce M&E designs for station environments, including lighting plots and SISS Communications, while guiding projects autonomously and engaging with clients.

The position offers mentorship toward CRE status, a flexible 3-month contract with 3–5 days of work weekly, and remote work setup after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering M&E designs for rail/station projects.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal handholding.
• Mentorship available toward CRE status.
• Remote-first work setup with flexible days.
• Experience with SISS Communications and lighting plots.

Responsibilities

• Produce M&E designs for Network Rail station environments.
• Collaborate across electrical, SISS Comms and mechanical elements.
• Engage in client meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Work flexibly, 3–5 days per week, remotely after onboarding.
• Support CRE sign-off progression.
