Job summary

Randstad Cpe London is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer for rail projects with a fully remote setup and only one day per month in the office. This outside IR35 contract offers flexibility while delivering major UK rail infrastructure projects.

You will lead civil design from concept through detailed design, working with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with railway standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Civil design experience within the railway sector.
• Ability to deliver detailed civil designs and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of UK railway standards and design requirements.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of designs.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review civil engineering designs for rail infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed design solutions, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with railway standards and specifications.
• Review technical information and identify potential design issues.
• Provide technical input throughout design and delivery.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support development and checking of designs produced by others.
• Work to project programmes and maintain high technical quality.
