Job summary

Lumensol Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our consulting team, delivering high-quality services across Housing, Customer, and Asset departments.

You will own specific workstreams, work with clients and internal teams to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency in project delivery. The candidate should have 3+ years experience in housing, a degree or HNC in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying, and strong Excel/Power BI skills for cost reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar in housing.
• Degree or HNC in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying.
• Experience with Reactive/ Planned/Cyclical Maintenance contracts/cost models.
• Experience with Schedule of Rates (SoR).
• Knowledge of TAC/TPC, NEC & JCT Contracts.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Review and assess the works submitted through the application for payment, ensuring the commercial mechanism is applied and notices issued as per contract.
• Prepare monthly reports on cost, progress and performance.
• Resolve disputes, queries, or claims between clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor and control costs and budgets to meet agreed time and quality.
• Support in ensuring robust commercial processes and templates are followed.
• Assist in negotiation/agreements of contracts and variations with clients/contractors.
• Support in tender/document preparation for various work streams.
• Identify key risks and opportunities and guidance to mitigate.

• Assist in designing and implementing processes that improve service quality and efficiency.
