Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to validate releases across firmware, networking, cloud and embedded platforms. You will work with engineering teams to investigate defects, run real-world tests and ensure product quality.

The role is fully remote in the UK, with salary £45,000 - £70,000 depending on experience, and benefits. Candidates must have networking/embedded systems testing experience and strong Linux and TCP/IP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience testing networking, Embedded, or distributed systems.
• Linux troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs and routing.
• Knowledge of LTE, 5G, SIMs, APNs and cellular connectivity.
• Strong defect reproduction and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Executing test plans across firmware, networking, cloud, and management platforms.
• Identifying edge cases and failure scenarios.
• Testing platform behaviour during network outages and degraded conditions.
• Validating configuration deployment across connected devices.
• Performing security, certificate, authentication, and permissions testing.
• Reproducing customer-reported issues.
• Supporting release sign-off activities.
• Defining quality metrics and improving test coverage.
